Hello, good morning... How do you do?
I said I would be writing more...So here I am, in my own little me time. After my son is asleep, and right before I do assignments for my online classes. I am thankful to be in school, yet again. I like to learn new things, knowledge is power.
Today I wanted to finally use the slow cooker my middle sister gave me for Christmas lol. I have been stalking Filipino beef caldereta recipes via Pinterest and google. And it turned out better than expected. I'm turning out to be Mrs. Domesticated, jk. I am trying to be more "housewife-like", it is a learning process.
I don't know if it's just me - I'm not the perfect organizer, or someone that can bake perfectly from scratch, sew, or have my house sparkling clean. I am me, this is how I was raised. I was raised by my dad, in my pre-teen / teen years, he did not have that womanly touch.
This is a new chapter, and I am learning. I am the jack of all trades, master of none... Yet! Bare with me.
So after the prepping, and hours ( 10 to be exact - 4 hours in highest setting, then 6 hours in low). My oldest sister came over to visit and said it was the bomb! Yay!
I was going to post a recipe, but I mixed different recipes of caldereta of what I found on Pinterest. I basically added liver paste, tomato paste, olive oil, garlic, onions, fresh tomato, green olives, carrots, peas, beef chuck, potatoes, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. I sautéed the beef in a sauce pan prior with olive oil, garlic, onions, and the veggies - other than the carrots, and potatoes, I did that when I put it all together in the slow cooker. There it is.
I also finally uploaded some vacation photos. <3
We love the beach. Visualizing the move to over there...
Back to business... Time to grind.
